Mission Statement for Brit-Am Soccer Academy

At Brit-Am Soccer Academy, our mission is to provide an exceptional soccer experience built on a foundation of quality customer service and a player-first approach. We are dedicated to the long-term development of each individual, fostering not just technical skills but also a love for the game. Our academy focuses on creating an environment where players can grow, enjoy the sport, and cultivate a growth mindset that empowers them to overcome challenges and achieve their fullest potential both on and off the field. Through personalized coaching, positive encouragement, and a commitment to excellence, we strive to inspire a lifelong passion for soccer while shaping confident, well-rounded athletes.

Our classes are tailored to different age groups:

  • Age 2: Full parent participation, where parents are right by their child’s side, making it a perfect bonding experience.
  • Age 3: Parent transitional class, where many of our young soccer players start to play more independently while still having the support of their parents nearby.
  • Age 4: At age 4 players are able to play on their own being fully independant from their parents.
  • Age 5: At age 5 they are able to start learning the “why” behind the activities we do, they start learning the concepts of defense, offense, playing as a team, winning the ball back, and changing direction all through active play. No lines, no drills, no standing.
  • PDL Grade K-2nd: Players continue developing in the game of soccer. they learn the basic rules of play in the 4v4/5v5 soccer environment. We cover various concepts including dribbling, first touch/ball control, foot and eye coordination, ball control, 1v1 skills, turns/changing direction, trickery, balance, and creativity.
  • All Star Academy Teams: For players U7-U14 who are ready for a higher level of competition than recreational leagues, the MSI Classic League, SAM Select, and EDP League are the next step in a player’s progression. All practices & games are local in Montgomery County MD!

The Player Pathway

Our Age 2-4 TOTS classes lay the foundation for our PDL and All Stars Academy programs. It’s a fantastic opportunity for kids to take their first steps in our player pathway, guided by coaches who are passionate about soccer and excited about connecting with young players. Our coaches not only teach soccer skills but also inspire a love for the game, ensuring every child feels valued and excited to play. Once a player ages out of TOTS, they are then eligible to join our PDL program, after PDL and players are looking for that next step, they can join our All Star Academy teams which start at U7 and go through U14. Our teams U7-U9 compete in SAM Select, teams U10 & up compete in MSI Classic or SAM Select and all games and practices are local in Montgomery County.

We train the best coaches!

  • We put every Brit-Am coach through our comprehensive training program that includes learning the use of developmentally appropriate coaching techniques & age-appropriate curriculum
  • Our coaches are routinely evaluated and undergo ongoing training throughout their coaching career
  • Our coach selection process evaluates not only the ability to coach soccer, but, more importantly, the ability to engage and inspire children.
