2023 – 2024 All Stars Academy Tryout Process

Brit-Am Soccer Academy offers boy’s and girl’s soccer players a team program that competes in the SAM Select League, EDP Futures (U7/U8 teams) & MSI Classic League (U9-U15). This opportunity is open to youth soccer teams ages 7-15 in Montgomery County, Maryland.

If your child is new to the MSI Classic League and was born in 2014 or 2015 (U10 and U9), be sure to sign up for the MSI Classic Skills Evaluation through the MSI website. This is mandatory and spots fill up fast!

The leagues we play in (MSI Classic League, SAM Select & EDP Futures) are all higher levels of play compared to recreational soccer. We offer a level of play to classic and advanced youth soccer teams in Rockville, Potomac, and Bethesda through our player development model, which is designed to help every player learn and grow.

When do tryouts for girl’s and boy’s soccer teams take place?

Tryouts for these boy’s and girl’s soccer teams for the 2023/24 season will take place on May 22 and 23.

If you miss our tryout season and are interested in joining the All Stars Academy, please contact our Academy Director; Coach Josue at allstars@brit-am.com to schedule an evaluation.

Players are welcome to try out year-round. In your message, please tell us if this is a tryout for a girl or boy, plus your child’s date of birth. This will help us provide you with the correct program information.

How many tryouts are required or recommended?

Players are only required to attend one tryout for consideration on an All Stars Academy team. We encourage players to attend at least two tryouts to maximize their chances of demonstrating their abilities to play the game.

What does the tryout entail?

These tryouts can be viewed as assessments that look at the player’s ability to read and play the game. Based on their current level of play, if available we will provide you with a team option that will best serve your player’s long-term growth. Assessments are done by our top-notch coaching staff who ensure players are placed on a team to help them build a progressive and joyful soccer future.

My child was offered a spot, what’s next?

Once you receive your offer, a 72-hour deadline is placed on players to accept or decline their team offer.

If your child receives an offer, please know that a per-player team deposit is required when accepting an offer of a spot, which will be your first payment towards team fees.
