The All-Star Classic Academy program was launched in the Potomac/Rockville in 2010 to give boys and girls from throughout Montgomery County the opportunity to compete in a team environment under the tutelage of the Brit-Am Academy staff within the MSI Classic League.
Why MSI Classic?
Soccer is a game with levels of play for everyone. The beginning level of competitive (Montgomery Soccer) soccer is “recreational soccer” or “rec” (with a focus on fun, sportsmanship and an introduction to the rules of the game. For some children, after a year or so playing rec, they are ready for a higher level of competition. At this point at age 8, alternatives to recreational soccer are either the MSI Classic League or Travel (Premier) Soccer. The logistics of travel soccer can be too demanding for some families as games can be up to two hours' drive away. The MSI Classic League is a great option - all games are held in Montgomery County and the level of play is far more challenging than that of the recreational soccer leagues. MSI Classic League also allows professional coaches along with volunteer coaches to participate in the league, thus providing Brit-Am Soccer Academy the opportunity to develop boys and girls within a competitive environment within the MSI Classic League.
Why choose the Brit-Am Soccer All Star Classic Academy?

How do we join an All Star Classic Team?
U-10 boys & U11 girls Teams:
Players may join the All-Star Classic teams in one of three ways:
1) Successfully completing an MSI Classic Skills Evaluation, then attending the All Star-Classic team tryouts, and being selected by a Brit-Am coach.
2) being previously carded during the previous seasonal year to a team in ANOTHER Select league (OBSL, NCSL, WAGS) attending individual All-Star Classic team tryouts, and being selected by a Brit-Am coach; or
3) Attend All-Star Classic team tryouts and being selected by a Brit-Am coach to fill one of that team's three wild card roster slots. (Each Classic team has three wild cards it can use for players who did not register for a Classic Skills Evaluation or who did not successfully complete a Classic Skills Evaluation.)
